Precious metals casting house · Montreal
From 3D file to finished jewel — design, 3D printing, lost-wax casting, finishing and stone setting. Six trades under one roof, in the heart of Montreal.
The house
Founded in 2022 by Laura Casales and Benjamin Perez, Fonte LB Casting unites two complementary heritages: the rigour of Montreal's School of Jewellery and the exacting standards of Parisian haute joaillerie.
We marry proven artisanal methods with the latest technology — because a perfect cast begins long before the crucible, and doesn't end until the mirror polish.
Independent designers, artisan jewellers, established houses: your piece receives the same meticulous quality control here, from concept to finish.

Our craft
Six stages, one quality control — ours, at every one of them.
Every piece is born in three dimensions. CAD modelling lets us design with precision, visualize and optimize your creation before a single gram of metal is committed.
Faithful prototypes and complex models, rapidly printed in castable resin. Lower production costs, more design freedom — including geometries impossible by hand.
Silicone or rubber moulds to reproduce your pieces identically — serial-production precision without ever losing the detail of the original.
The wax tree is invested in plaster, burned out, then placed under vacuum: molten metal fills every cavity by gravity and suction. Gold, silver, platinum — a dense, porosity-free cast.
Cast clean-up, pre-polish, mirror polish: every surface is reworked by hand to an even, brilliant finish, ready to receive its stones.
Under the microscope, each stone is set with the technique that secures it and shows it best — prong, bezel, pavé. The brilliance, without the risk.

On-demand services
Every service is available separately — hand us one stage, or all of them.
Smoothing the raw as-cast surface: rough spots disappear and the piece is ready for polishing.
Tool marks removed for an even, brilliant finish — and stones that will shine all the brighter for it.
Precise assembly of components to guarantee the strength and harmony of the final piece.
High-precision welding that makes the most delicate interventions and complex creations possible.
Gem setting that secures every stone while showing its brilliance to full advantage.
Final polish and careful detailing for showcase-ready aesthetic quality.
Turnaround
Wax preparation: free of air bubbles, breaks and burrs; sprue proportional to the piece and well positioned, with a feed path of about 1 in (26 mm). A well-prepared wax is a perfect cast.
Bench tool
Weigh your wax, pick your metal: get an instant estimate of the metal weight your cast will need. The tool every jeweller's bench should have at hand.
Estimate based on standard industry multipliers. Final weight varies with sprue and geometry — your quote is the reference.
Trust
You entrust us with your designs and your precious metal. Here is, plainly, how we take care of both.
A controlled vacuum process and rigorous handling of your alloys — your metal goes into your piece, not into our losses.
Your 3D files and models remain yours. No reproduction, no sharing — your creations never leave the scope of your order.
A casting or polishing defect? Report it within 2 days of receipt — we take the piece back. Claims accepted up to 30 days after manufacture.
Sterling and anti-tarnish silver guaranteed nickel-free. For other alloys, we tell you exactly what they contain — just ask.
